A day late, but not a dollar short!

Okay okay okay!  So it's Monday, and I know I normally post on Sunday but this weather!  Sheesh!  It's got us all dragging a bit.  So what happened in the Cook fam in the last week?  Hmmm... I'm not sure if I can remember back that far...let's see...

Monday...  I decided to trade in my fossil gift card for a hand held easy share video camera.  So I started the search.  We went to Best Buy...  Let's just say Fayetteville Best Buy is not the "Best Buy!"  None of the cameras worked, and the service was horrible.  So... off to Target... once again none of the cameras worked, and there was completely NO customer service.  (By the way, it seems that crappy customer service is a requirement for business in the city of Fayetteville!)  Walmart didn't have any, so I found myself stuck with online reviews to guide me in my search.  You might be wondering "Amber, why do you even want this... "  Answer....  For you my friends!  So that not only can you read, you can also "see" what's going on with us!

Tuesday...  hmmm, pretty boring day.  David and I worked and the girls had school, I think we even went to bed early!  Nice huh?  David was supposed to have a softball game but it got cancelled because of the rain.  It's been a really rainy week and yucky here.  I did finally make a decision on my camera.  I decided on the Kodak Zi8 and found a STEAL on ebay!

Wednesday we had dinner at the William's.  The Hermann's and Tric's were in attendance with us of course and it was a fun night.  The William's are another Rigger couple from David's company.  They also moved over from the 612th to the 647th.  The guys are what Crystal (my friend from Jersey) refers to as the "Rigga Boys"  and the girls are of course are our version of the Army Wives.  It was decided that we needed another Game Night at the Cook house, so plans were made for the weekend :)

Introducing the Williams, (minus their son "little Courtney" who was busy shooting David with a nerf gun!

"The Rigga Boys"
Thursday night David had a softball game.  If you could call it that!  David's team KILLED the other team.  Seriously, so bad that they had to call the game because they were so far ahead.  David of course was pitching again and LOVED that they won!  The girls had fun playing while David played his game and were worn out by the time we got home.   David went to sleep, while I stayed up to watch the season finale of Grey's!   My stomach hurt through the entire show!!

Friday was another day of work, and another day of play.  We had a great game night, full of parmesan tilapia with tortellini and peach bellini's.  Lot's of Farkle, David won this time, and Battle of the Sexes.  For those of you who haven't played this game let me explain...  girls answer "boy" questions and boys answer "girls" questions.  It's really fun and entertaining to see the two sides argue it out.  Of course there was some Rock Band as well!  We had another fun time with the Tric's, Hermann's, and the William's.  I'm gonna miss these guys when we go to Texas for 6 weeks!

Gracie and Mickenzie at game night!
Anastyn at game night :)

Saturday we did some running around and started getting things ready to go to Texas.  We took the girls to McDonalds for lunch and let them play a bit before making them go clothes shopping.  We had to get some shorts for the Summer.  Gracie doesn't like to shop but Anastyn does, after going to Target Gracie and David were both done.  No more shopping for them.  That night we had a birthday party for Jayden, Anastyn's best friend.  Jayden is the daughter of our friends Jess and Charlie, (he is the one deploying at the end of this month.)

Sunday was another lazy Sunday :)  Rainy.  We watched Shrek 3 so that we could catch up and see the new movie!  I got my new Kodak Zi8 over the weekend, but can't figure out how to upload videos to my blog.  Yuck!  I will work on it throughout the week and see if I can figure it out...  if not then I will just have to upload the videos to email or something to send them out!  We hope you all have a great week!!
